Road Trip Packing 101: For the Kids

PackingRoad Trips
So here’s the quick and easy overview:
  • Label and stuff a ziploc bag for each night of the trip with pajamas and clothes for the next day.
  • Create one bag that stays in the car with things like a spare swimsuit, shoes, outfit, and sweatshirt.
  • Have children pack their toiletries like toothbrush and toothpaste, hair brush, and hair elastics in one small bag and have them leave that in their backpack.
  • Each night when you get to the hotel, grab the labeled ziploc bag for that stop from the child’s suitcase and put it in their backpack along with their toiletries bag.

That’s it! Keep it simple and give the kids some independence and you’re all set.

Lookin at Lo

Growing up I always had a heart for adventure and a wish for a big family. These days, the halls of our home are filled with laughter and smeared peanut butter, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for joining me here where, between military marriage, big-family love, and living overseas, I share all the lessons I learn through motherhood, #Latenightcrafting, and the mistakes I make along the way! All while trying to instill a heart for adventure in our five littles. I love documenting our (mis)adventures on IG and hope you find inspiration for your next DIY, road trip, or just hard day when you follow along with #TeamArbo. Thanks for being here! Xo, Lo
